About UDH Health Coach, Inc
UDH HEALTH COACH INC. is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization and A PRIVATE OPERATING FOUNDATION
UDH Health Coach, Inc assists the Haitian community in health awareness and self-care in large part through a weekly radio show which is also broadcasted on social media. The program educates and raises public awareness regarding primary care and empowers patients to become better advocates for their health. UDHHC’s goal is to promote preventive medicine, good lifestyle habits as well as healthy eating as the means to achieve overall health. The organization offers creole classes to health care providers in the United States so they can optimize the care they are providing to the Haitian community. UDH Health Coach, Inc also financially supports, and coaches college level students from Haiti. We offer them an online mentorship and enrichment program, also the opportunity to enroll in an observership in the United States. While traveling in the U.S., UDHHC provides students with all their accommodations assistance during their stay. During their stay, UDHHC ensures students have access to some of the world’s most outstanding training in medicine and nursing. They also receive important experience through their work assisting the weekly radio broadcast. They get a chance to continue to develop essential skills as well as take in valuable information through their experience. After this, they are better equipped to provide quality care to their fellow citizen’s back home. Through the programs these students enroll in, and our radio show, we strive to make a difference in the Haitian community both here and in Haiti.
UDH Health Coach, Inc believes that students are the future leaders of the country and invests accordingly. Since 2011, UDHHC has supported the “Universite Notre Dame of Haiti” (UNDH) in their annual trip to Harvard University for the Model United Nations Leaders conference. Haitian Americans and other friends joined together to make it possible for these students to participate.
In December 2012,UDH Health Coach started a weekly broadcast radio show that educates the Haitian community on different medical and mental health topics, also raising public awareness about primary care and empowering patients to take care themselves.
In 2016, UDH Health Coach in partnership with Cambridge Health Alliance sponsored the medical and nursing Haitian students spending a month-long taking part in an observational externship at the Cambridge Health Alliance hospital.
In 2021, UDHHC started an online Mentorship and Enrichment program to study the resistance and mistrust toward Covid-19 vaccine.
